good night.

I went out running tonight. I'm tired. So it is okay to go to bed at 8 pm. It is. Don't be all stupid about this. It's my life and I can go to bed at 8 on a Tuesday if I want.

And while I get ready for bed I'll think about this most marvelous idea I had the other day. Like the best idea ever.

"i thought by now i could have figured it all out"

So yesterday my brother's girlfriend told me that the disgusting meat glue I wrote about the other day has already been voted through i Sweden. First I felt embarrased for my lack of knowledge. Second I thought, what the hell, I don't live in Sweden anymore I can't know it all. And then I felt disgusted and sad about the food industry of today. So I started baking cardamom buns. With all Australian, no additives, just r e a l ingridients, so I could feel a bit better. See that's my thing in life. I bake when I'm upset, or happy, or pissed off, or in love. And then I eat one. Maybe two. And then I give the rest away.

And I had one. And they were great if I might say so myself. And I can. Because it's my blog. I gave the rest away to Tobi and Ivan and then I went out for a run. Because I had eaten some dough and all of the lovely Salta S that Linda sent me 4 weeks ago but arrived yesterday (!). I love Salta S. And dough (dough is so much better than the finished product). The run was by far the best since I started running here in Oz. Whoooooosh was the sound I made.

Whooooosh. People. Whoooooosh is the sound I make.

"so try your best. and think about it later"

Such an awsomely random day.

Didn't set my alarm. Woke up at 6.40 am. Had breakfast outside. Decided to skip uni work for a couple of hours to finish my book. The History of Love. The last chapter literally took the breath out of me. Had to sit still thinking about love and life for a long time. Didn't get any wiser. Just more confused. Did some maps and such for uni. Decided that was boring. Have no inspiration at the mo. Counted the mosquito bites on my feet. Counted to 9. On the left foot alone. Noticed I don't have any mosquito bites anywhere else on my body. My feet must taste good. Had lunch. Tobi The Undertaker thought it was dessert. I said no. It's yoghurt. Did some more assignments. Still no inspiration. Went for a run. Decided to run a bit further than usual. Ran in to a neighbourhood that smelled like poo. Ran a bit faster. Posted a letter. Had a shower.

That's my day up til now. Thought I'd spice things up even more by getting some sushi for dinner. Sushi is the best thing in the world. Well, making out is better. And popcorn too. Oooh and getting postcards. Okay. Sushi is the fourth best thing in the world.

"we can get down like there's no one around"

About this running business of mine. See, it's difficult for me becase I truly, truly hate running. It kills me from the inside.

Mostly I think I hate it because I get bored of running the same bloomin' track every frickin' time. B to the O to the RING.

And then we have the problem with music. Everyone seems to run with their Ipod. It makes it easier they say. But see that creates new problems for me. Firstly, I have absolutely no upbeat music on my Itunes. And secondly I have freakishly small ears so the headphones just keeps popping out. But I've managed stay calm and not get irritated, just take a deep breath every 2 minutes and put them back in. (Perseverance my friends. That's the word).

But again. The music. I have now been running for four weeks to the sweet sound of Britney Spears. (Who put that on my Itunes?) And it kills me even more. Britney?! Come on! So when I got a package from Maya last week filled with beautiful letters and our favourite tea and a CD with her running music it was like she had heard me complaining from across the world.

This morning's half an hour run was the easiest in two weeks. Thank you Maya. Thank you playlist with no Britney.

"i can see clearer now the rain is gone"

Some days are just not as awesome as others you know. Today was one of those days. But it ended okay. Went out for a run to clear my mind and got lost. Haha. Great way to get rid of all the stress and troubles. But that resulted in a 50 minute run so I'm quite happy because: 1. I made it back home. 2. I only walked for a total of 5 minutes. Oh Maya, you would have been so proud of me.

On bad days I go on websites like this. And watch films like this one and then everything seems clearer and brighter and I can breathe again.

"it seems today that all you see is violence in movies, and sex on t.v."

Today the sun has been shining all day to the extent that it almost bored me.

No, okay. My grandma told me it is wrong to lie. It has been raining all day. ALL DAY without a stop. Parts of Brisbane are now flooded and people are being evacuated from their homes. But not us, cause we live on the slope of a hill. Wooha! And down that hill is the river. So before 46 Heidelberg Street is flooded the river has to rise about ten metres. Highly unlikely. I hope.

But I went running anyways, you know how life is down in healthy Australia. Can't blame the rain, your fat ass ain't gonna dissapear on its own. 1.5 laps took 25 minutes. What is happening? I'm already getting that fast that one lap took me 20 minutes when I first started a week and a half ago and now 1.5 takes 25? Oh well. Nothing to complain about I guess. Tomorrow: 2 laps.

Now I'm gonna head back into the wonderful world of Family Guy. Oh the joy that Brian gives me. Who needs a man when you have Family Guy?

"why does it always rain on me?"

I won a chocolate today during my lecture. How fun is that?! Amazingly fun I tell ya. I was the first out of 200 that guessed that a mucho blurry picture was Paris. Haha! You untravelled youth of Australia. Cry in the shadow of my glory. I gave the chocolate away, took another sugar free gum and made vegeterian chilli for dinner. Yes. Oh yes I'm a good girl now. Couldn't go out running tonight though. Too dark and too rainy when I got home. But I'm not gonna tell you that it has been raining for two weeks and that they said on the news that this is the wettest summer for 30 years. Nope. The sun is always shining in the Sunshine State. Always.

"so we hold each other tightly and hold on for tomorrow"

The weekend was a good weekend. It had a little of everything. Like a candy pick'n'mix. Just like a weekend should be like.

On Friday night we were all so stupidly tired from the partying the night before so we stayed in and watched a film.
Saturday morning we went on a trip with uni to a zoo and then to the beach. It rained. The. Whole. Bloomin. Day. But anywho, it was a good day although I'm not a huge fan of animals enclosed in small, small boxes. It makes me sad. And then I feel like smashing the glass boxes and save the animals. And then I think that maybe that's not the best of ideas and then I feel confused. And then I want to go home.

On Saturday night we went out to the Valley again. We didn't get in at The Met, cause Ivan had converse on. Stupid Super Ivan. So we went on a search for the best substitute club. First a club where everyone was 18. Then one where everyone was 35. And then we thought we had found our club. Planet. It had it all from the outside. It looked like everyting you'd ever dreamt of. But on the inside it was full of half naked men. Haha. Not what we had expected. The guys were scared. But I had fun. The true fag hag I am.

Then at 3 we took a bus home. It took 2 hours. Plus a 30 min walk. Walking straight from the Valley takes 25. Taxi 5. It's all Super Ivan's fault. But it was fun, at least now I know how the suburbs of Brisbane looks like and also I know which bus not to take. All to the better I suppose.

Sunday was spent in our back yard reading in the sun. Mmm. And I went for a run of course. In an attempt to burn some calories from all the beer. I ran like hell, so easy now when I'm used to the heat. Tomorrow: Two laps.

"i was slicing up an avocado and you came up behind me with your brand new silent sneakers your refection i did not see"

Okay, so on being healtier. You see, I have a wedding to attend to in May, so I need to look hot. So that's my plan of action. May=Hot.

So to match my now non-existing appetite (you go ahead and try to be hungry when it's 35 degrees outside, try it and you'll see what I mean) I went out running this morning. Oh yes I did. And did I die after three minutes? Yes. It's so humid here I have trouble breating when sitting down, so it maybe wasn't the greatest of ideas. But as we say in Sweden, trägen vinner. So I kept on going. Who cares if I suffocate, I'll look damn good when I'm dead.

So that's my plan now, wake up early, go for a 20 min run and then eat one avocado. Do you want me to tell you about the avocados here? Oh yes you do. They are out of this world. Oh heaven on earth how good they are. I might marry an avocado farmer and move to Australia for ever and ever. Screw landscape architecture, as long as I can eat those avocados every day I'm a happy camper.
