fully hungover but only half vulcan

So I'm slightly, slightly hungover today. Slightly.

But I have an awesome hangover tradition. A bottle of Pepsi Max. Because it's the best. And my elf ears. And then Star Trek. Ah sweet lovely Star Trek. Been a fan since like forever but I never told anyone... I didn't want anyone to laugh at me.

But today I could only fit one ear on. Since my left ear is sore and a bit swollen.. Hrm. Total impulse thing.. Mom, I wont do anymore. For a while at least...

So with only one pointy ear I'm only half Vulcan today. Just like Spock. But he has two pointy ears. Ah.. You get what I'm trying to say right?

So yesterday we dressed up like nerds and jocks and went to this Scottish guy's birthday party. I was a nerd. I like being a nerd.

And of course you are sitting at home right now wondering what I might be up to at 4 pm on a Saturday.. Well, Veronica and I are getting ready for Jessica's birthday party. Barbie theme. Hell yeah.

I'm going all in on the makeup. All in people.

it's magic!

Getting ready to go out tonight. First time partying in almost 3 weeks. Feels strange. Like I don't know how to do it.. I've forgotten how to party. Haha.

So I've done my best preparing by putting on a pretty dress, drinking a glass of goon and eating a piece of toast with cottage cheese. Best combo ever. Until I dropped cottage cheese all over my tights. (Yes it's gettin colder here now..) Hrm.

And while putting on my makeup I'm now watching Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium. It's a silly film really. Like really. But it makes me happy so I don't care.

"i fell in love at the seaside. i handled my charm with time and slight of hand"

Peeps. I know you're all gonna miss me immensly. So I'm sorry to say that this is probably the last entry for a whole week.

Tomorrow morning, a group of partying, beach loving, goon drinking friends and I set out for a week of camping, surfing and exploring.

So If you're sitting at home thinking "hrm, I wonder what Charlie is doing today?". Just revisit my blog each day and look at the following pictures. That should give you a rough idea. Hahaha. (I do enjoy that it's summer and 25+ degrees here and you all are freezing like hell.) Hahaha.

"a daydream, i'm caught up in limbo. friday night at the drive-in bingo"

Okay. Looking at this picture from Friday night I have six questions..

1. Why do I ALWAYS do that face on pictures? It's not attractive at all. At all.
2. Do I have red hair?
3. How tall isn't that guy?
4. Is there some scientific explanation for why I always get red eyes on photos? Is it because they're green?
5. Why does it have to be so darn expensive to go to the hairdresser?
6. Is it just me who think that it looks like Super Ivan is smiling at me and not with me? (That is usually the case so I shouldn't be surprised..)

I know. That's technically seven questions.

"she told me she loved me which means she must be insane"

I have only two things to say today. My head is a little bit non-existing today because of all the beer and the lack of sleep last night..

1. The Met in the Valley sucks on a Friday night.

2. But. With the right people around, you can have fun in a moldy shoebox.

"i just like to smile. smiling is my favourite"

It feels like things has changed in me since I moved here. I'm a truly happy gal now. It's weird. I don't do happy as a wise man named Colin told me a couple of months ago. But you see, I think I do. Just wanted to share that with you. For no other reason than that I like being happy. This is me.

We went out again on Thursday. The Norwegian society's pubcrawl. Oh it was messy. But heyho how fun it was. It started at 6 pm and I think we came home around 3 in the morning. That's a lot of hours of drinking, peeps. Oh. Don't tell my grandma please.. She thinks I'm a well behaved girl. Oh I really am going to hell right?

Oh, well. I've finally been to a place called the Down Under Bar and it was just as tacky yet amazing as I've heard. Five minutes after entering the door people were getting naked on the dance floor for the chance of winning 100 dollars. Mmm. Love it.

And then when we got home after hours of dancing and drinking. I found a package for me in the living room. Oh. The joy of getting a package. It was heaps of salt liquorice. From my wonderful brother. He's the bestest in the whole wide world. And while Super Ivan laughed at my childish happiness over a bag of candy I had a piece of Tyrkisk Peber and felt like crying of joy.

"so we hold each other tightly and hold on for tomorrow"

The weekend was a good weekend. It had a little of everything. Like a candy pick'n'mix. Just like a weekend should be like.

On Friday night we were all so stupidly tired from the partying the night before so we stayed in and watched a film.
Saturday morning we went on a trip with uni to a zoo and then to the beach. It rained. The. Whole. Bloomin. Day. But anywho, it was a good day although I'm not a huge fan of animals enclosed in small, small boxes. It makes me sad. And then I feel like smashing the glass boxes and save the animals. And then I think that maybe that's not the best of ideas and then I feel confused. And then I want to go home.

On Saturday night we went out to the Valley again. We didn't get in at The Met, cause Ivan had converse on. Stupid Super Ivan. So we went on a search for the best substitute club. First a club where everyone was 18. Then one where everyone was 35. And then we thought we had found our club. Planet. It had it all from the outside. It looked like everyting you'd ever dreamt of. But on the inside it was full of half naked men. Haha. Not what we had expected. The guys were scared. But I had fun. The true fag hag I am.

Then at 3 we took a bus home. It took 2 hours. Plus a 30 min walk. Walking straight from the Valley takes 25. Taxi 5. It's all Super Ivan's fault. But it was fun, at least now I know how the suburbs of Brisbane looks like and also I know which bus not to take. All to the better I suppose.

Sunday was spent in our back yard reading in the sun. Mmm. And I went for a run of course. In an attempt to burn some calories from all the beer. I ran like hell, so easy now when I'm used to the heat. Tomorrow: Two laps.

"everybody says that she's looking for a shelter"

Today I feel like pulling a paper bag over my head. Crawl into the fridge. Eat everything I find and then die. Oh and before I die I'm never gonna drink ever again.

But boy was it a good night last night! Went with some friends to a club in The Valley, that's where the cool kids hang out, you see. I love going out with a truly good bunch of fun people. Fun, fun, fun. And if they are cute and from Norway that's just a bonus. This is how it works here: if the men in Australia are not from Australia they are either German or Norwegian. And if they are Norwegian, they are most oftenly very cute. See, that's like the ultimate combo. Cute and Norwegian. Mmm. Oh, if God had just the one purpose it was to create cute Norwegian men for me to meet.

Funniest all night though was Frank. Frank is not Norwegian. Frank is from Greece. He doesn't know where in Greece he was born. Couldn't dance the zorba. Said his favourite dish was lasagna when he ment moussaka. And weirdest of all Frank has a German accent. Frank is not from Greece. Frank is German. But Frank believes he is Greek. Poor Frank. He didn't get a single girl altough he tried so hard with his made up mediterranean charm. But Frank doesn't give up. It's apparently a Greek trait. Never give up, always keep trying. I hope I meet Frank again. He made my day.
